Obituary of Lois Joyce Weedmark

Passed away peacefully at the Kemptville Hospital on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the age of 87.  Loving and devoted mother of Diane Murphy (Paul Hanton) and Dean Weedmark (Maureen). She was predeceased by her sons Dale, Daryl and David Weedmark and her husband Lorne Weedmark. She was the proud grandmother to her 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and  her 2 great-great grandchildren. Lois will be sadly missed by her sister Joan (Bill) Davis, her daughter-in-law Connie Weedmark, Flint Murphy, and her God daughter Karen Simpson.  Lois is also predeceased by her parents Preston and Gladys (nee Learmonth) Salter and her sister Faye (Gordon) Simpon and her brother Lloyd (Norma) Salter  She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and her neighbours in Smiths Falls.  Friends may pay their respects at Blair and Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will take place in the Chapel on Thursday at 1 o’clock.  A reception will follow the service and then the interment will take place at Franktown Public Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
