Henley, Robert “Bob” Michael
Peacefully, at home in Perth, Ontario, with his family by his side, Bob passed away on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Eileen (nee Lobsinger) and the dear father of Michael (Nichole), and Scott (Beth). Bob was the adored grandpa of Taylor (Chris), Alyssa, Chase, Madison, Grace, Connor and Declan, and the proud great grandpa of Levi. He was the dear brother of George (Faye) and Lynne (late Keith) Thompson and the brother-in-law of Doreen (late Bill) Robson, Martha (Howard) Weppler, Helene (late Francis) Ruetz. Bob was predeceased by his parents Leonard William Henley and Ethel Laneva (nee Thompson). Bob retired after a long and fulfilling career with the O.P.P., starting in Walkerton, then to Hornepayne, Sharbot Lake and ending in Perth. He and Eileen spent nearly 40 years at Pike Lake Trailer Park, he was an avid member of the Perth Golf Course and was a lifelong Leafs fan. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 244, 26 Beckwith St. E. Perth, on Sunday, April 28th, 2024 from 1:30pm – 4:00pm. In honour of him, memorial contributions to the Perth Site of the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
